A couple of weeks ago, I was given a new camera as an early birthday present. I have always wanted a camera with a powerful zoom, and am very pleased with it. These are some crater shots of the moon that I took last night.

Memorial Hall of Cumberland University
The following photos are of Memorial Hall at Cumberland University. These photos were taken from the quad area. This building was built from 1892-1896, and is the place where most general education classes were held, when I attended the university years ago. I always loved the look of this old building and cherished the day when I walked across a stage in front of this very building to get my degree in elementary education. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed my little walk down memory lane when I was taking them!

Shots of the Full Moon
Tonight, was a clear night with a full moon. I thought I would get a few shots. I cropped the first one and added a quote with an online photo editor. This was my first attempt at adding text to a photo--not sure that I am thrilled with how it came out...but I suppose it is ok for a first shot at it. These photos were taken from my front yard--the first from my porch and the others from the sidewalk that runs from the driveway to the front steps.
